A churidar is a long fitting pyjama worn by the North Indian groom. Churidars are usually fine muslins or cottons, white in color. The traditional churidar is tied with a nara at the waist. New variants come with an elastic, and do away with the hassle of tying the knot (of the nara, i.e)! What is special about them is that they are longer than the legs. Their extremes are crinkled and crumpled to fit. Creases thus developed resemble 'churis' or bangles, hence the name churidars. A churidar is a perfect accompaniment to long kurtas and sherwanis. ============================= Kurta Paijama

This is typical of North Indian and Punjabi weddings. Sherwani is long coat, buttoned up in front with Nehru collars. The sherwani falls well below the knees, and looks elegant especially if the groom is tall, and yes, the physique is perfect. Traditionally, the sherwanis worn are off-white. Lately, color has made its foray into sherwanis. If you dare to be different, try out black and other darker shades. Sherwanis can be of various types – the Peshawri and the Baloochi, and are usually embellished with embroidery and zardozi work. The groom's sherwani is incomplete without the ghatcholas, flowing kurtas with churidars and jooties or Indian sandals. The Turban or Safa: Safa and wedding turbans are traditional headgear worn by the men of both the sides during wedding. Wedding safa is a necessary part of a traditionally dressed groom – a must groom attire. The colorful safas are made of various materials – chunari or sheer cotton drape, with or without zari work, and ghatcholas. The groom's safa is traditionally red in color, and it goes well with the off-white sherwanis. Click on the Sherwani pictures to see our range of Rich Sherwanis

This is very popular with the younger men. It gives the groom a regal look, and he can wear appropriate jewellery to 'match' that of his bride. The length of the kurta must be 2 inches below the sleeve. This should be worn with a narrow trouser to match the kurta, made with the same fabric. The groom has a choice of either selecting suiting material or silk, which can be plain, jacquard or jamewari, depending upon his taste, skin colour and of course, his budget. The shades preferred by Indian males are most often light shades like cream, fawn, dark fawn, white and off white. Grooms have the option to heighten the impact of their outfit by adding buttons in gold or silver or with precious stones. The groom can also go for some light embroidery on the neck and front, with in shades of brown, red or grey.

WESTERN So the big day has arrived!! Your carefree days of being the eligible bachelor are no more. It’s now times for you to start behaving as gentlemanly as possible, assume responsibilities and shed the face of your bachelorhood! There are many qualities that decide the personality of a man - what you wear is just one of them. Dressing up has been of importance since the days of the Emperor’s new clothes. So oughtn’t u gear up for what is going to be the most important day of your life ? Okay so you’ve decided to go in for formal wear a.k.a the western style - a tuxedo. A wide variety greets you at the outset. Your best choice for the occasion would be a full-sleeved shirt with button ups, the option of a tie, a coat and trousers to match. First as we decide on the shirt, the material of the shirt is left to your discretion based on the climatic conditions, preferably cotton.! A plain light coloured shirt would best suit the overcoat. White, Grey, Cream…. etc. No flashy colours or designs, please. You don’t want to look incongruous at your own reception. Next, most importantly comes the colour of your coat - preferably a dark shade of black or blue. Grey assumes exciting hues in stone, slate & charcoal grey with plain or mild checks. There is the choice of going in for the Tweed or the Polyester variety, which is basically a soft Merino-wool blend. Lightweight wool fabrics are recommended for summer. The straight jacketed 2-button single breasted and 4-button double-breasted are no longer the only options. For those taller and lean physiques there is the 3-button suit or a double-breasted jacket in six or eight button combinations. Button them or leave them open -the decision is yours. The Renaissance collection from Raymond fabrics has gentle but striking hues. Try them on for that suave look! Trousers that match are the next in line. The fashion now is towards parallels in straight cuts, two deep pleats and a high waist. Get the perfect shades and size for your comfort. Get a waist belt again black or brown preferable, not too wide with a small not too conspicuous buckle. Ensure that it gives a snug fit without having to wrap it two times over. A matching double-knotted tie to go with your outfit is essential. No bright colours or caricatures, subdued stripes or plain shades will do the trick. Couple your apparel now with your choice of comfortable formal leather shoes and matching socks. A clean handkerchief in your trouser pocket could prove useful. Other accessories like cuff links, optional adornments like bracelets, chains or rings complete the outfit. Accentuate your looks with a little make up and add a dash of Brut for that whiff of masculinity. And now our suede handsome groom is ready to face the world !! INDIAN Now close your eyes, take a deep breath and think: no more exclusive bachelor booze parties, no more Marilyn Monroe and Pam Anderson/Lee/Whatever on you walls, no more…okay, okay, I am not helping. I’ll stop and get on with it. From now on, you’ll need to look groomed - washed, shaven, clean. And the toughest of ‘em all - the difference between cutting nails and getting a manicure. The following lines are meant to educate and enlighten you on the nitty-grittiess of haute couture. So here goes. And best of luck. So is your Sherwani ready? Today almost 90 per cent of the bridegrooms opt for traditional wear. Many go for an eclectic fusion of the traditional with the Western in the form of the Bandhgala Jodhpuri suits. In traditional wear, too, there are a whole lot of options for the groom. Most of the Indian marriages consist of at least three occasions the sangeet, the wedding and then, the reception. At the sangeet, which is a fun occasion, the clothes must reflect the spirit of the occasion. Ideal would be a Churidar-kurta, worn with a Nehru jacket and a stole- its both style and comfort combined. A Chogha, that is the modern day interpretation of the jama works very well, too. It finally boils down to what suits the groom. For the wedding, a Sherwani or Achkan looks special. What you must avoid though is the tying of the Kamarbandh (waist band) over the Achkan. A more stylish approach would be the contemporary version of the one or two button Achkan, wherein the knot of the Kamarbandh can be tied under it on the kurta. Just as important as the dress are the accessories. The right accessories can add that extra element of style to the whole outfit. The Saffa (turban) and the Juttis (closed shoes) should be coordinated with the ensemble. For a bejeweled look, wear a lone string of pearls as an accessory. For the reception ensemble should be understated and stylish. A Bandhgala Achkan with embroidered panels or a Sherwani or a well-cut jacket with a pocket looks great. Though the colours and cuts are mainly traditional, the newer bridegrooms are seen wearing other colours than merely shades of beige maye deep olive, grey, blue or even black. Going for the tux While the western look is the conventional tuxedo for men. Things to be considered while opting for a tux are the colour, the fit, the fabric, the pattern and most important of all, your individual style, then buy that special shirt. Perennial favorites are plains, pinstripes, weaves and occasions? While for the tie, nothing bold, flashy and definitely nothing with cartoon caricatures please . Make it a top-quality tie/bow tie/cravatand match it to the rest of your attire. The kamarbandh add a dash of Elan to the suit only if you discard the waistcoat. Otherwise, you will look a trifle overdressed. When it comes to kamarbadhs, stick to deep maroon or black and ensure not a crease is out of place. Forget about mix-and-match, go in for a good quality suit which is impeccably tailored. Basic black, navy or gray flannel will ensure you can wear the suit till it wears out. Keep your belt discreet, medium width, preferably hand-tooled leather and no big buckles That goes for other accessories, too, like tie pins, cuff links, rings, gold chains about the neck, bracelets, gold strapped watches. Less is more for this special day. Always wear leather shoes and the conventional Oxford with three eyelets, in the colour that best matches your suit. Keep socks strictly matched to suit and shoes.Check your wallet for signs of wear and replace it with a sturdy, sober-coloured one that must not ever bulge that is crass

Pre Wedding Mangni The prospective bride and groom exchange rings during the mangni or engagement ceremony. The bride-to-be wears an outfit gifted to her by her future in-laws. A convenient date for the wedding or the Nikaah is fixed after the mangni. Mehndi The Mehndi (henna) ceremony is held at the home of the bride-to-be on the eve of the wedding ceremony or a couple of days before it. The female relatives of the girl anoint her with turmeric paste. A relative or a mehndiwali (henna artist) applies mehndi on the hands and feet of the bride-to-be, in thin artistic patterns. The mehndi is traditionally kept overnight to obtain a dark hue. The event has a festive feel to it with the women singing traditional songs. :: Wedding Baraat The groom arrives at the wedding venue with his baraat (wedding procession). A band of musicians strikes up some traditional notes to announce their arrival. The groom shares a drink of sherbet with the bride's brother. The bride's sisters play pranks and slap the guests playfully with batons made of flowers. Nikaah The Nikaah or wedding ceremony can be conducted at the home of the bride or the groom, or at any other convenient venue. A Maulvi (priest) conducts the ceremony in the presence of close family members and relatives. The 'Walis' (the father of the bride and of the groom) play an important role in the ceremony. The Maulvi reads selected verses from the Quran. The Nikaah is complete after the Ijab-e-Qubul. (proposal and acceptance). Usually, the boy's side proposes and the girl's side conveys her assent. The mutual consent of the bride and groom is of great importance for the marriage to be legal. Neither of them must be forced to enter into the marital contract. It is on the day of the Nikaah that the elder members of the two families decide the amount of Mehar (nuptial gift that is a compulsory amount of money to be given by the groom's family to the bride's.) Nikaahnama The Nikaahnaama is a document in which the marriage contract is registered. It contains a set of terms and conditions that must be respected by both the parties. It also gives the bride the right to divorce her husband. For the contract to be legal, it must be signed by the bridegroom, the bride, the Walis, and the Maulvi. Blessing the groom The groom receives blessings from the older women and offers them his salaam. The guests pray for the newly-weds. :: Post Wedding Rukshat The bride's family bids her a tearful farewell before she departs for her husband's house. The bride's father gives her hand to her husband and tells him to protect and take good care of her. Welcoming the bride The groom's mother holds the Quran above the head of her new daughter-in-law as she enters her new home for the first time after the wedding. Valimah The Valimah is the lavish reception that the groom's family hosts after the Nikaah. It is a joyous occasion that brings together the two families, their relatives and other well-wishers.

Hindu Indian marriages are performed by priests who chant Sanskrit hymns and mantras in front of the sacred fire, while special Indian wedding music - Shehnai in the North Indian weddings and Nadaswaram in the South Indian weddings - are played. A typical Hindu Indian marriage begins with the selection of an auspicious day, and time to perform the wedding. A day before the wedding, the bride's palm and feet are decorated with henna or mehendi. The Indian wedding ceremony is conducted in a mandap, a special dias decorated with flowers for the occasion. The Indian wedding procession of the groom, the Baraat, is a main event on the groom's side. The baraat headed by a display of fireworks, accompanied by the rhythm of the dholak or melam, reaches the meeting point, where the elders of both the families meet and welcome the groom with garlands and aarati. After this the bride, decked with the finest of jewelry, and the groom sit in the mandap in front of the sacred fire, where the kanyadaan is performed. Kanyadaan is the ritual where the bride is given to the groom by her father, symbolizing giving of the bride to Vishnu. Next, the groom ties the knot. The ritual of pradakshina follows, where the bride and the groom walk seven times around the sacrificial fire. The last stage of the Indian marriage ceremony is the saptapadi, where the bride and the groom take seven steps together facing the north, after which the bride shifts to the groom's left. The couple is now declared married.

In a Punjabi Indian wedding, the wedding atmosphere sets in a week before the wedding. Shagun is the first ceremony which marks the commence of activities, where the two families exchange gifts to conform the engagement. An important ritual connected with the bride is the bangles ceremony, where the maternal uncle and aunt of the bride put white and red bangles on the bride's wrists. Light ornaments of beaten silver and gold called kalira are tied to the bangles. The groom’s procession, the baraat, reaches the bride's house, with friends and relatives dancing to the tune of the music. After the feast, in the late hours of the evening, the actual wedding ceremony commences. Here the bridal couple sit in front of the Granth Sahib. The ardas are read, and the ten Sikh gurus are saluted. The last ceremony is the doli, or the farewell to the bride. As the bride leaves she throws handful of rice over her shoulders

Any account of historical Indian costumes runs into serious difficulties not for want of literary evidence or of archaeological and visual materials: of both of these there is a fair measure that is available. The difficulty arises when one tries to collate the information that can be culled from these sources. The descriptions in literary works, for all their great poetic beauty and elegance, are, in the nature of things, not precise and one has to guess and reconstruct.

Sometimes the descriptions are so general that they can fit more than one costume quite different from each other. All this is not to say that a broad, general idea cannot be formed of the kinds of costumes worn in the ancient, medieval or the late medieval periods in India.

What one is denied is the possibility of going into the many subtleties that Indian costumes possess. Their range is remarkably wide, according to the great size of the country, and geographical differences, and the bewildering diversity of its ethnic groups is added the complex factor of the coming in, at regular intervals, of foreign peoples into India at different periods of time and in varying numbers.

The costumes that these people brought along did not stay necessarily apart from the mainstream of Indian dresses - that one could have dealt with - but, with the Indian genius for adaptation and modification, these costumes become altered, even metamorphosed, and eventually assimilated to the broad, native Indian range of dress.

One has, therefore, to sift and isolate, and then relate and bring together, the evidence available which is not the easiest of tasks in the context of Indian history where material culture does not always get the attention it does elsewhere.

Through sharp analysis of Sanskrit, Prakrit, and Hindi, as much as Arabic and Persian sources, they have brought within reach a rich body of material. The inherent difficulty in the matter of interpreting this material and relating it to surviving archaeological and visual evidence naturally leaves some matters obscure, and others open to controversy. But a very substantial body of information has been collected.

A question that needs to be disposed of rather early is whether, in the indigenous Indian tradition, stitched garments were known or used at all. From time to time statements have been made that the art of sewing was unknown to the early Indians, and that it was an import from outside. Serious and early students of Indian costumes, like Forbes Watson, have stated, mostly on the authority of other scholars, that the art of sewing came to India only with the coming of the Muslims.' This statement needs no longer to be taken seriously.

As has been established, not only was the needle and its use known to Indians from the very beginning of the historic periods that we know of; the art of sewing was practiced, and one comes upon clear and early references to stitched garments that leave very little doubt about the matter.'

The onset of the decline of the Mughal empire in the 18th century loosened, it seems, the control that the Mughal court at Delhi exercised on sartorial fashions, and it would appear as if at centers of power that were fast growing up, away from Delhi, attempts were made to assert local identities in various ways.

By and large, one can fairly state that during these times there is no major accent or thrust in the fashioning of new garments the emphasis seems to be on introducing variations or modifications of dresses that had been in use for a long time.

At centers like Lucknow, however, a self-conscious style was sought to be evolved, a certain dandyism taking over. It is not without reason that the bankas of Lucknow, those elegant men whose lives revolved as it were around their appearance, are celebrated in the literature of the times.

The old garments, the jama or the angarakha, the faiji or fatubi, the payjamah, the turban, underwent certain changes not always easy to date or describe but the cuts and appearances were changed with a careful look at the over-all effect of ensembles

Description: Dr. Goetz speaks" of changes in fashion introduced in the early 19th century, even at the Mughal court, following impulses received from the courts of Kabul and Teheran outside India.

Dr. Goetz speaks" of changes in fashion introduced in the early 19th century, even at the Mughal court, following impulses received from the courts of Kabul and Teheran outside India. As he says

The basis of the development was the fashion of the court of Nadir Shah of Persia knee-long, mostly red colored, dress, with pointed neck, open till the girdle and closed by an insertion. Round the neck, sometimes, a broad, richly embroidered collar the legs in high boots. On the head a pointed cap, its summit being crushed, wrapped with a small cloth and a pinned sar-pesh, short full beard.

Nearly the same costume is seen on the picture of Ahmed Shah Durrani, but different in the fari dress and a whole ribbon of pearl-ornamented sar-pesh. The new fashion included the old qaba, but the neck was let to the girdle and filled with a tight insertion.

The jama was worn a little more than knee-long. Under it, wide long trousers (pyjamah), boots or slippers with high curved points. Over the jama, an over-dress with short sleeves, often with embroidered collar or with rich ribbons. This dress was always closed over the chest. Usual is a fur bordered faiji dress.

Clearly the jama and its variant, the angarakha, continued to remain a favorite as a formal article of court dress, but it underwent changes of different kinds. In the early 18th century, in the period of Farrukhsiyar and of Muhammad Shah, it attained a greater length than in the 17th century and came right down to the feet, sometimes covering them and trailing in its fullness on the ground. In fact, art historians tend sometimes to date paintings using this length of the jama as a guide.

Title: Nail Care
Description: Hands and feet are often the most neglected areas, yet the way they look gives our inner secrets away. Cared-for nails are a sign that the rest of our body is well looked after too. Vitamin deficiencies show up as weak and splitting nails; insecurity appears as nail biting; stress can slow growth; Spend a little time and effort sorting our dry, flaky nails, and hard, rough skin, and thanks to the latest technical advances in nail care, a perfect set of strong, healthy nails in now within reach.

Home Manicure

  1. Remove old nail polish with a single stroke by soaking a cotton wool pad with nail polish remover. Wipe away traces of polish around the cuticles stick dipped in remover.
  2. Using an emery board, shape nails lightly, working from both edges towards the centre. Avoid moving the board back and forth quickly, which produces heat that dries out the nail and leads to splitting. Try holding the emery board at a single angle under the nail. Dont file down the sides- the nail tip needs the sides as support, otherwise it will weaken and nicks form.
  3. Apply a cuticle remover around the nail contours. Using the tip of a cuticle stick wrapped in cotton wool, gently push back the skin. Work away dead tissue before carefully passing the stick under cuticles.
  4. Wash your hands in warm soapy water, and brush nails with a soft manicure brush so that polish will adhere to them properly. Pat hands dry with a towel.
  5. If nails are weak, apply a strengthening or hardening product, paying special attention to the tips. Allow to dry.
  6. Apply a protective base coat, covering the entire nail but stopping short of the cuticle.
  7. Apply two coats of polish, starting with a single stroke down the center of the nail, then across the cuticle base and down the two sides without touching the cuticle. Allow each coat to dry.
  8. Finish with a top coat for extra gloss and the shield against chipping.

For optimum skin and nail health, check that your diet includes plenty of vitamin A, E and B complex, and the minerals calcium, Zinc, magnesium and iodine. If need be, take nail-fortifying vitamin and minerals supplements.

Take three tablets of calcium lactate daily with a warm glass of milk for strong bones, nails and teeth.

To repair the damage done by soaps and hard detergents rub equal amounts of rose water and glycerin to the hands.

Exercise your hands daily – like any other part of your body, they need a workout, tool. Bend your fingers up and down 15-20 times daily. Pep up the circulation by taking the fingers of one hand in the other and gently pulling each finger.

Title: Nail Fashion

Description: Nails as any man will tell you, are the
focal point of much eroticism. Check out Uma Thurman in ‘Pulp
Fiction’ with her red, red talons. Or Jessica Rabbit, the
ultimate sexual Venus trap, in ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’. The
shape, the length, the color of the nails is all clues to the
persona of the wearer.

Nails as any man will tell you, are the
focal point of much eroticism. Check out Uma Thurman in
‘Pulp Fiction’ with her red, red talons. Or Jessica
Rabbit, the ultimate sexual Venus trap, in ‘Who Framed
Roger Rabbit’. The shape, the length, the color of the
nails is all clues to the persona of the wearer.

Sweet preppy college girls might have
unvarnished oval nails, while club-goers might slather on
black or Chanel Vamp into lone talons. Gently elongated
fire engine red ovals might look ever so tempting for a
seductress.

Practicality rules over all. The shape
is softly rounded. The look lies with medium-sized nails
with a French manicure, with clear varnish down the length
and white crescents at the tips (check out the Tips and
Toes Manicure Kit).

The colors in vogue are a trifle more
complicated. It’s red for the night – we are talking pure
fire-engine matte red, the sort of red that makes men go
week at the knees and declares you’re a bad girl.

The wishy-washy pinks and purples which
held sway for a bit and the grotesque steel gray, which
became ubiquitous shade for the wannabe hep cats, have all
been relegated to the back. The neon greens and blues are
best left to the teen brigade where they are slowly
crawling down the ladder from hip to has-been.

Transparent camels and frosted sables
are the shades to watch out for on toes. These are the
shades they’re showing off in open toed sling-backs in
Hollywood. They’re also wearing matte and opalescent
whites. However, since both pale and pearly nail polish
tend to highlight any bumps or ridges, prime nails with a
clear base coat first.

Shimmer is so big that Estee Lauder,
Yves Saint Laurent and L’Oreal seem to have got an entire
range to boast of. These are shades straight from your
heart, but with a twist. Sable with an oil slick effect,
or opalescent nail polish with a petrol sheen (the
multicolored rainbow look) are what are giving nails the
hip hop look right now.

The surest, softest and the most chic
look amongst the haves is that of sheer coat – the
transparent shines that just lets the soft sheen of gloss
show the true shade of the nail underneath, but this is a
look of the grave.

For the woman who has more chores like
cooking and cleaning to be done, such daredevil bravery is
uncalled for…she should get herself a skin tone matte, or
a light peach opalescent. It doesn’t show as much when it
chips.

Also, it’s not enough just to have
manicured nails today. The hippest craze is to have them
stenciled, painted, even pierced, so that you don’t see
nails in the same light again.

Even the best shades will fall flat on
hands that are not maintained well. Make sure to give them
a manicure once a fortnight at home or in a salon.

Massage a hand cream into your hands at
least a couple of times a week, and make sure you wear
gloves when you’re washing up or cleaning. And above all,
keep your nails at a tolerable length – shall we say one
that will allow you to dial from an old telephone
instrument.

Dravidian Style : This sari draping style is common in the state of Tamil Nadu. The archetypical Dravidian sari is the “veshti-mundanai”, which is draped in two parts: The veshti covers the lower body, while the mundanai, or mundu, is an add-on to the veshti. The draping of the veshti is fairly simple as it draped like a towel around the waist and is usually 4 yards in length. This is then folded in half lengthwise. The teenage period of life is often referred to as 'the age of storm and stress'. During this age, almost all boys and girls wish to look different. They want to make their own individual identity and want others to follow that. Peer group pressure is also dominant during this age so most teenagers are always finding ways to standout from the rest.

One main way by which these teenagers succeed in making their individual existence prominent is through fashion and style. You must have noticed that many such fashion trends and styles that somewhat appear strange and odd to people of our age, are popular among teenagers around the world - these includes patched jeans, bandannas, and Goth style dressing.

This wish to look different and unique is evident from the fact that most teenager girls are going for customized and personalized jeans. There are many different ways in which jeans can be customized according to their individual tastes and styles. However, we will discuss some of the fashion trends that are popular and look attractive.

Colorful Skinny Jeans

Blue, black and grey are common colors for jeans but they are meant for much older people, at least this is what teenage girls believe. Therefore, these girls prefer skinny jeans that are available in various different colors other than the traditional jeans' colors. Purple skinny jeans and pink skinny jeans are some of the hot favorites nowadays. They love to wear these jeans to parties, disco clubs, prom nights, and such other occasions.

Jeans with Embellishments

Most girls like to personalize their jeans with the help of certain trendy and chic embellishments such as rhinestones, ribbons, sequins, appliques, and laces.

Accessories for Jeans

Accessories with jeans make the style appear different and unique. These accessories include chains, bandannas and belts.

Skinny Shirts and Tops

Skinny t-shirts and tops are worn over skinny jeans to balance out the skinny look. Baggy and loose shirts only make them look sloppy and odd so this is the best choice.

Shoes

With skinny jeans, teenage girls love wearing high heels so that they look taller and slimmer. If they have slim figures, the jeans flatter their shape in the best way

Here are questions and replies from our fashion bloggers:

Have you ever watched poker being played on TV or in person?

I have watched poker on television randomly and mostly because a couple of my friends are fans, but usually I just see it being played in person while in Vegas.

Do you have a favorite poker player?

I like youngster Peter Eastgate...and I think he occasionally dresses okay, especially for his age.

What do you think about the fashion at poker tables?'

I've noticed that the players may not be completely blamable for their bad taste in attire. I'm pretty sure their sponsors need better apparel. Most importantly, players need to look confident, relaxed, and comfortable in what they are wearing. It is easy to achieve the unique, bright, or trendy look that it seems some players are trying for without looking like you stepped off an Ed Hardy shoot, shopping in your mom's/child's/spouse's closet, or pairing every color of the rainbow.

Good rules of thumb: keep your clothes streamlined to your body, make sure they fit properly, utilize classic shapes, lines and colors while enhancing each ensemble with something fun or special to you. An outfit should be an extension of your personality. It should welcome people in, not scare them away.

What do you think would be a good look for a poker player?

If you're going to wear a suit:

If you are going casual:

If you are going for a bit of funky fun:

When wearing sponsor garb, tshirts and tanks, ladies can easily help out their outfits with proper fit and adding current accessories, a unbuttoned cardigan, a cropped leather jacket, blazer, the possibilities are endless. Don't forget to add your own personal style to current fashion trends!

The images below are great ways tshirts and casual pieces have come together to look chic and effortless.

Who do you think is the worst dressed poker player? (Here is a link to a few of our nominations.)

EDIT: In fact, Élan's replies to this question were so freaking hilarious that we copied them straight into the blog about the Top 10 Badly Dressed Poker Players.

Have you ever watched poker being played on TV or in person?

Yes, I watch poker on TV since my hubby is an avid poker fan.

Do you have a favorite poker player?

My favorite poker player is Gus Hansen.

What do you think about the fashion at poker tables?

The fashion at poker tables includes everything from casual to formal to really bizarre.

What do you think would be a good look for a poker player?

I think the best poker player look would be something casual and comfortable like a button down shirt or tee and khakis or jeans. While pieces of personal flavor are appreciated, over the top clothing and accessories distract me from the game.

Who do you think is the worst dressed poker player?

Hands down, the worst dressed player is Phil Hellmuth.

Trendy Looking Sports Sunglasses

It was an experience of a life-time. We believed that no one could compete with us in fishing. Overconfident and over-over smartness on the issue finally let us down on that Sunday afternoon. It was a family fishing and lunch expedition when all of us gathered together. Peter and me decided to flaunt our fishing skills – with the belief that none would be able to do what we will.

We rushed to the stream side sparkling beautifully in the lovely sun. It was an amazing location. We settled down with our tools and started waiting patiently staring at the water and waiting to feel something soon. After waiting for sometime, we couldn’t stare long enough in the water. Something was sparkling too much and dazzling our eyes. We felt something was not right – we kept shifting and moving. Soon we realized that the water was shimmering much beyond our levels of comfort. We continued and waited patiently. Just an hour after we started Susan exclaimed happily – she had caught her first prey. Then another and another!

It was frustrating and insulting. We realized she knew the tricks of fishing much better than us, and chose not to reveal. She has the best sports sunglasses which were meant to aid fishermen in their fishing. She was wearing a lovely pair of sports sunglasses which were designed specially for fishing purpose. Her wholesale sunglasses helped her to distinguish fish faster in the streams, as her pair of sunglasses reduced the annoying glare of water. It was meant for fishing and helped to track down even those fishes which were hovering down below. Her sunglass had specialized polarized lenses which helped to reduce the light reflection from the surface of water.

We were aware about the utility of such sunglasses but never thought about getting one pair for ourselves. It was our belief that such sunglasses were uncomfortable. How can we catch fishes with those dark glasses? Wouldn’t the water appear dark? We were totally wrong! Susan helped us to understand better about the unique feature of these sports sunglasses and why these are so important. These sunglasses were specially made for sportsmen so had some special features. These were long lasting and very lightweight, so that the user does not become distracted or uncomfortable with the use of these sunglasses. These wholesale sunglasses are decided to provide support and not cause any kind of discomfort to the user.

I checked out her pair of sunglasses very minutely and wondered what made so much difference. It was just amazing – I loved everything about her pair. I loved the firm grip which it had on my face. It was so firm, that anyone can jump with such sunglasses even for hours – it won’t just move from its place. I was told that there was an adjustable and customizable feature also of these sunglasses in the form of ear pieces. They fitted well into the face and the soft non-slipping nose pads were an added advantage of these sunglasses.

Be Aware of Buying Fake Sunglasses

When we were young we were often duped at stores. We couldn’t differentiate between genuineness and fake – we did not know how to test the quality of a product we were buying. We often believed what the owner had to say and thought nothing beyond it. As we grow older we start learning things the harder way. Everyone may not be the same always and this is when you need to be careful. One of the most common things we buy are the sunglasses of everyday use. With the advent of internet online shopping has become a trend as it is convenient and involves very little hassles also. Unfortunately, things are not as easy as it seems.

Many buyers are duped by the online stores. When goods are delivered at home, they realize that they have bought false label eye-wear. It’s important to check a few things especially when you are purchasing wholesale sunglasses so that you do not buy the wrong things.

Check the Photos:

If you are making an online purchase of wholesale sunglasses have a thorough look at all the pictures which are available in the site. Do not go for such sunglasses which have a small picture on display, where the image of the sunglass is not clear. This happens whenever the eyewear displayed is fake. Whenever good eyewear is displayed it is available with many details, attractive photos and also good finishes.

Take help from manufacturer:

Whenever you are searching for your sunglasses, start with the manufacturer of your favorite brand. This will make your search process easy. Check out the website of such a manufacturer and look very carefully at the photos which are displayed there. You can compare all the photos which are available in the website and check with similar photos which are available in different auction sites. Whenever you come across any kind of similar eyewear, you need to be careful if you are planning to purchase such a sunglass. If you are purchasing sunglasses online you need to check the specifications of the manufacturer.

Price:

This is also one of the ways in which you can determine if an eyewear is original or fake. If you are purchasing real designer eyewear, it will be expensive. If you find that you are being offered eyewear which is said to be designer but extremely low priced, you should be aware. Designer eyewear is expensive and can in no circumstance be available cheaply. So, if you are offered extremely cheap designer eye-wear, be assured that it is fake.

Check for warranty:

All manufacturers shall offer you some kind of warranty along with the sunglass. This is a sign of a new product and acts as a gift from the manufacturing, promising good quality of the offered product. Check out for such warranties from your manufacturer. If no warranties are offered to you or no promise of extra service after your purchase, it is possible that your sunglass is not original. It is a fake variety
